Supporting Local Black Businesses
What is Black Prosperity
on Corridors?
The BPOC was created to provide historical African American business owners located on West Broadway, University Ave (St. Paul) and Lake Street corridors with culturally specific services and resources such as education, equity capital, tools and relationships to support the needs of their business success. African American businesses offer a range of products & services vital to the local economy and must continue to be supported through long term prosperity.
Check out our Resist & Thrive Event!
In June, BWWA held our first Resist & Thrive Bootcamp, an initiative designed to give Black business owners the vital knowledge they need to expand and maintain their businesses.
Forty-three business owners received wealth education tools and resources tailored by BWWA, including personal wealth tools, trackers, business development tools, and more.
Business owners also had the opportunity to listen to experts from Thrivent Financial, MN Better Business Bureu, Baker Tilly, Neighborhood Development Center and Sapientia Law Group about customer service, legal structures, marketing structures, and financial essentials!
